pileated with angry swallows

This pileated woodpecker decided to check out a stump that just happened to be the residential property of a family of tree swallows.

Just wish I had a shot with the swallows in focus.
The pileated then moved to another tree and gave me these.

Pretty cool,swallows are so fast is it possible to get a good shot of them?

Tree swallows are very protective of their nesting site and usually vigorously defend it! I am sure that woodpecker was practically on top of their nest.
