So more and more people are starting to take pictures of paintball so I figured I could start a thread for posting. We can also share techniques and tips for people wanting to start shooting this awesome sport.
Ill start it off.. here is 2 shots from this last weekend at PSP Chicago
EDIT!:
Here are some tips from some well-known paintball photographers for those of you who are just starting!
you need to bump your shutter speed up even if it means having to bump your ISO up... I prefer to stay at 1/800th or faster. shoot in Aperture Priority and set your ISO to like 250 and f stop as wide open as your lens can and you'll get some amazing results, bump up the ISO if it starts getting a slower shutter speed...
Don't be afraid to get hit.
Protect your gear, but come to the realization that your camera or lens might take a hit. Best you can do is get multiple UV filters for your lenses, this way those get broken instead of your lens.
What I liked to do was watch 1 or 2 points of Xball before taking some serious pictures of teams so you can see who goes where etc...
Once you get get the feel for what works keep shooting!
Now post some awesome paintball pictures!!!!
