It's amazing, enjoy. Make use of all its bonus features like wifi and remote shoot from your smartphone etc, it's leaps and bounds better than the 40d , I went from 40d to 7d and that gap was massive enough!

You can in fact do this. You will need an app on your ipad. My 70d has the same wifi, but I haven't used it yet. My friends have, and it seems pretty straight forward.

Congrats on your 6D! Now take it out of that box and shoot something!

That's a fairly old consumer grade lens, but it's better than nothing I suppose.

Nowhere near the league of the 24-70, I'm not sure what 24-70 version you were referring to though.

Its basically the little sister of the 28-135. Similar build and smaller in size. With the ISO capabilities of the 6d, speed of the lens and lack of IS is less an issue. Should be a nice lightweight walk around. Got mine for about $100 and cant seem to let it go.

Regarding wifi transfer to the ipad, it isn't full resolution and isn't close unless there was an update I'm not aware of. The app is useful for remote control of the camera. I transfer images for in field review only.

Yea the box is just a normal box...
I recommend to open the box and use what there is inside ;)

Would it not be somewhat pointless to be able to download a full size jpeg? Once the image resolution far exceeds the output capabilities of the devices, what do you get?

The ability to zoom in, I suppose?
