I was camping in the desert, and thought I'd give this a shot. This was just above the horizon, and there was light pollution near the bottom. Don't really know what I'm doing. Taken with a Sigma 35 f/1.4 on a 5DIII.

I kept playing with the settings until I could actually see something in the LCD. The stars are a little oblong due to the slow shutter speed, I guess. Didn't notice 'till I downloaded them and could get a closer look. EXIF setting are there in Flickr. I'll take any and all suggestions on what to do to improve next time. Moose
