Morning and evening Bluebird feedings

The male Bluebird is very busy feeding his second set of offspring for this year. I found out this evening three fledged from the second nest not two.

The kids get very excited when it's feeding time....lol.

They can be a little intimidating to him because they're competing with their siblings but he handles it like a trooper.

Some mealworms escape but the other birds benefilt from it.

The female is taking a much needed break from nesting and stops by the feeder from time to time.

Fantastic!! #2 & 3 caused me to laugh out loud.

Thank you everyone for the comments. It's been fun documenting a pair of nesting Bluebirds from the comfort of my backyard. I hope they continue to nest for years to come....I've learned a lot this year.
