Levina, sorry to miss you last week. I believe there are lots of attractions near roads in Amsterdam! lol

I'm sure you're right, Jo, but I just couldn't find anything. And I didn't want to photograph a large bag of French fries on the pavement or a large bill board, you know? However, I do know of two roadside attractions that are brilliant. But, they're on the other side of town and I couldn't make it that week. However, if I am in the neighbourhood (which I undoubtedly will be at some time) I will take a shot and post it somewhere. Maybe in the thread even? If that would be okay?

But, I love what you did this week! ..and the Bird Homes are just perfect. Hopefully you will be able to see birds nest and fledge next season!

Thanks! It sure would be nice if the birds would find the Homes next year. But oh man, then I will want to camp out there to not miss anything!! :D

Nice windows and doors everyone. Mine are a little worse for wear and need some TLC.

Pretty hard to see out of the second one.

I love older buildings in a bit of disrepair, but I'm sad to think that it was someone's home. Abandon buildings can be both beautiful and depressing.

Hey Levina, I always look forward to everyone's shots, but I was happy when you and Stina both joined in (and Penel and Clare) from the LP thread.. Some weeks it is hard to participate.. It has gotten really hot here, as usual, but it is also very humid.. Unusual. It actually rained here 2 nights ago..
But I'm not inclined to go looking for photo ops! ..unless I can shoot from the air conditioned car!!

Thanks KT. Not sure what the story is but the place has looked like that since we moved here in 2006. Definitely a low maintainence structure.

Found this old windowless trolley frame being over taken by weeds on the way home this morning.

True that some weeks are hard, but I do try. However, I just couldn't find anything in my neighbourhood that I thought looked good. So.

Over here we are having plenty of rain at the moment and the forecast is for more of the same. Just showers and then a dry spell, some sunshine maybe. And then rain again. Another reason to not want to go away from home too far! And I don't have a car! :)
You having rain is a good thing though, isn't it?

Those are nice contributions, OldCrow!
I especially like the first one. So much history in those walls...

Rain is quite good. Sadly it is not enough to help with the drought conditions.
We have a strange phenomenon in summer here. We get a Monsoon season,
Arizona as well. We get downpours of rain and some flooding, but it stays well
over 100 degrees (44.4C) it was 112 yesterday, but overcast and very humid.
We are expecting thundershowers the rest of the week :p
