Is this a good deal?

Do all (or most) of you calibrate your monitors? Just curious if this is a must... :D

^ I have the Spyder3Pro version, Joon... I usually calibrate twice a year, if at that... At the end of the calibration, they have a 'before and after' comparison... Works for me!!!

:)

PS. Not a bad price for version 4 pro...

I own a X-Rite i1Display Pro and I was able to see a big difference on my iMac after the first calibration. But if you're just editing in sRGB color space to use your images online I wouldn't buy it. That's just me though. Great price!

Thanks for your input. What if I do my own printing at home? Although I haven't really seen much problem with my prints, there were some color mismatch at times..

Thanks Joon. I just ordered. I have been procrastinating getting a calibration tool for over a year now since I upgraded my monitor to a Dell u3011. Look forward to delivery and installing!

I bought one yesterday as soon as I saw the deal posted on CPW. At $99, it is worth it to me.
I notice a major difference between my two screens and didn't know which to believe. I know one is a little warm and the other maybe slightly tinted but I cannot adjust for it. The v4 will calibrate both for me. Although I don't do a tremendous amount of paid shoots as this is still a hobby, when I do, I want accurate colors going to clients who are printing.

Looking at your gear, I'm not sure how you can't justify an extra $99 for color quality assurance.

Becoming a gear junkie.

Ok, just ordered it. I did notice some color difference in prints, but never really bothered me too much. :)

Pulled the trigger too - been complaining too long about my prints not matching my display. Hopefully this will make the issue better.

I noticed that my 27 iMac monitor was very cool from factory. You will notice a difference once you calibrate your monitor. You got a great deal on it.

Ok, thanks! I hope this resolves any printing color mismatches. BTW, is it easy to calibrate? Takes long? needs research, etc?

It's not that hard. Once you install the software just follow instructions or maybe watch a tutorial first and you should be done in no more than 15 minutes. Good luck!
