Woolly Aphids on my Hosta Plants

Found a few of these woolly aphids hanging out on my hostas. They did not appear to be feeding on them (at least not yet). I had trouble getting clear shots, perhaps because of all the reflections off the white fuzz which is actually a secretion they produce. The first shot is at X2 and the 2nd was at X1.

Lovely shots, Michele. I think these are Flatidae hopper nymphs.

Lovely captures- agree with kurt they are plant hopper nymphs not aphids but they still suck plant sap.
