Will a c580 master and 2 420s slaves work

Setting up a portable studio for myself. Already have a 580 and a 420 ex. I,m thinking of buying another 420 and use them as slaves, with umbrellas etc. Is this a good idea?

Yes. A 550EX will give you another stop or so of power, but the 420 will work fine.
