ozzmodan Senior Member 260 posts Likes: 2 Joined Jun 2009 Location: Alberta, Canada More info | Jul 01, 2014 22:39 | #2 They would have had the couple about 4 stops underexposed for ambient & then used a higher powered studio strobe to bring the exposure on the couple back up. That way everything in the background is darker and saturated looking while keeping the couple lit up. There was probably a neutral density filter used as well.
