Out of curiosity I tested my 5DIII for short bursts 4-5 photos at high FPS before the buffer gets full.

Bottom line, recording only RAW to either or both cards, the interval between all photos is .17-.18 sec. translating to 5.5 to 5.8 fps... :rolleyes:

No difference!

I am using a Lexar Extreme CF 16 GB card (120 mB/s) and a Sandisk Extreme Pro 16 GB SD card (95 mB/s).

The test was conducted shooting my smartphone at stopwatch so I can record 1/100th sec.
