Could I have improved this shot? How so? All feedback welcome!

Composition isn't bad, imo. It could use about 1/2 stop less exposure, less saturation, and more clarity.

Focus point (s) are on the leafs below , so your rose get's a little out of focus.
this was handheld with Focus Mode - AI Servo AF?
I shoot roses mostly on a tripod and focus manually on live view so i get the
waterdrops in clear focus.
In your composition the greens are in the upperhand (leafs and background bokeh.)

get closer - the rose is too small in this image... the foliage on the right isn't adding to the subject

i like the shot. nice composition.
however i would try a more closer look as well

Thanks to all for the input. I didn't realize I was in AI servo. Hey, I'm really new to this, with no training whatsoever. That's why I need your opinions!

Pictures are not loading?

Lovely picture, but as others have said, I'd get in closer to the flower and really make a feature of the drops on the petals.
