Sorry to bring up such an old thread, but did you ever find a solution to this? I'm having the same issue. Plug both batteries in the they just stay at waiting but never charge.

No I didn't. I just got the charger plug that goes straight to the whole pack.

Hello, I have been using Norman Studio Strobes for years, Larger Power packs, Plug in type, I also have a elinchrom ranger rx. My current project is in a kind remote area and a long uphill walk. So I am doing my best to be a minimalist and use my Beloved Norman 400B. I have two heads for it, That both seemed in good working order just a month ago. I tested them today and this LH52KML doesn't pull up a charge. The other head works great, I also discovered the extension cord i got on eBay doesn't work either. The cord I can deal with another day. But I sure would like to get this second 400B light head working again. Does anyone have any suggestions of were to look first? Is there a fuse inside?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated,

Thank you Christopher Herbert
