Local Carnival Scene

I took this shot about a week ago at a local firemen's carnival. I'd like your comments on its composition, exposure, success as a "slice of life" photo and how it might be improved.

The composition is fine but as far as subject matter goes, it would have been better to wait until she finished washing the windows. What I get from this (the story if you will) is "carny washing windows".....not the fun/activity of the carnival. Would also be good to capture more people enjoying themselves rather than the food stand.

I like your colorful slice of life. A bit of crop and clean up might shade more attention towards the action.

Thank you both for your comments. I appreciate them.

With your comments in mind, I re-worked the shot, mostly by cropping (maybe not enough). When I took the shot, I was interested in the window washer. I now realize that my wide field of view leaves people wondering what the subject is. So a crop seems called for. I also cloned out some bright spots in the background.

Here's another shot of the scene. Might be better since there are fewer other people, and we can at least see part of their faces.
