As some of you on here know... i'm a big plugger of the Canon 7D.. I love this camera.. and so many people under estimate it's potential due to it's cropped sensor...

However... I've just pulled the Trigger on a 5D MK iii

Pretty chuffed... It will get christened next week for a fashion magazine shoot.. I'm pretty sire i won't regret this :)

WOOP!

Reppin the 5D iii and 7D with some lenses and some lights

I am not a 5D3 user but I recently went to my niece's wedding in Dublin and was VERY impressed at the photographers images. I managed to have quite a long chat with her between shots as I was interested in her gear and technique. She shot the whole day, and night, with a 5D3 + 24-105 F4 and a 580EX2. When flash was inappropriate she just used the 5D3's very good high ISO. She was shooting from 14:00 to 22:30 so there was quite a wide range of lighting conditions but the 5D3 didn't fail her.
From what I have seen and read the 5D3 is probably the best "All round" camera going at the moment at anywhere near a sensible price.
You WILL be happy.

So now you have two very complementary cameras for different purposes! I quite enjoy both of mine.

Loved my 7D, love my 5DIII. Am considering getting a 7D as a back up to the 5DIII. Not a fan of the 24-105 though. Find it soft and the max aperture of f/4 doesn't cut it. Think hard about moving to the 24-70 2.8.

Agree 100%….loved my 7D but after you see the superior image quality, low light performance and advanced focus features you won't look back.

Being a Bowens user I love your work in that thread with the 7D and so look forward to your 5D3 shots there.

Yes it is a great camera and the 5d3 is a lovely step up.

I wanted the best from both the 7D and the 5D Mark III, so I bought the 1DX instead.

Haven't regret that either.

The best of the 7D and the 5D Mark II and then some.....the 5D Mark III.
Like you, I used the 7D for four years. Loved it so much it bought a second.
Now having the Mark III, I am in need of a second 5D Mark III.
It is that good!
Enjoy Rush.
