My eyes are probably worse than yours, since you picked that out. I'm bottomed out on the viewing focus ring. Need one of those additional lenses for the eyepiece.
I aimed on the eye, and the spot behind the eye is slightly out of focus. I think the lens focused nearer to the camera, or I moved back a little after focusing(handheld). The spots on the shell, closer to the camera, are in focus.
