The completely different Formula E series tested at Donington Park last week. Brilliant and very different. So different that there were several different approaches to how best to take "The Loop" (hairpin) at Donington.

1. Christian Dammers in the Formula E Test Car

2. Bruno Senna out for a drive in the English Countryside

3.Katherine Legge about to test the Amlin Aguri car

4. Nicolas Prost (Honest Dad hadn't sneaked in for a drive)

5. Gil de Ferran - The perfect example of the difference between drivers that come from a fan based environment and those that come from a corporate sponsorship driven environment. He had time for all of the journalists and photographers, even after several hours of being talked to and photographed.

6. Jarno Trulli - was experimenting the most with different techniques at the hairpin

7. Nick Heildfeld - Team Venturi

8. Sebastien Buemi (CHE) - E.DAMS Renault

All in all an excellent few days. We get to do it all again soon. How cool is that!

Cheers Dave

So that's where Katherine Legge has gone !

Interesting, and the cars don't look too bad.

Thanks for sharing these.

Correct, this is a new(ish) formula - at least this iteration is new. I think that the technology is now fairly mature and the times are such that this it may be with us for awhile.
