OhLook wrote in post #17018113 The pig looks so happy. Is she really smiling? She seems to be, but I'm not that familiar with pigs' expressions. Ricardo222 wrote in post #17018217 Yes I think that's a real smile. Pigs are very expressive, and I have seem some grumpy ones in my time! I think she's smiling. She perks up as soon as she sees the hose. OldCrow wrote in post #17018323 Great start folks. Welcome back Ricardo. Stina, did you remember to wash behind the ears? ![]() Shoot, I forgot! Stina

Although there's water in the pool, nothing is coming out of the lions' mouths. I suppose the drought is the reason. They look solid white. Wouldn't marble be veined? And the four of them are so alike I think they were cast. Marble can be veined or plain coloured, depending where its from and what was in the vicinity during the metamorphosing stage...if there is such a word! Growing old disgracefully!

It looks like they are letting the water evaporate instead of keeping it full? I don't know what they're doing. Maybe they turn on the taps briefly when it's almost empty and let the lions spurt. This would be a compromise between using too much scarce water and not having a public water feature at all. Or maybe they'll let it go dry? It's next to the main drag in Orinda near the old theater.
