Me too! And that little "fixer-upper"....put me down as interested in purchasing said property...I've always wanted to live by a river!:D

Some creative people have put on a light show in our local botanical gardens. We went along last evening in spite of the rain....and caught these reflections in the murky pond!

Thanks Levina. Yes, it was interesting, but rather lacked cohesion as a real celebration of light. However, if the weather is kind, and it looks okay at the moment, I might go along again this evening.

Water...the most important commodity in our household....!

I played around with some stuff last night and thought this shot was rather fun. Taken through moving water in a bowl.

You got some interesting effects there. Rainbow stripes due to refraction?

Something like that. It's what happens when you have no proper tools for a shot like that (I used my Powershot and had to use the built-in flash). :)

Nice colors Richard. I'll check with agent and see what the asking price is for that fixer upper. ;-)a

Very cool Levina.

Nice reflections Kelly.

More beautiful contributions!

Ricardo, that look lovely, even though you call it a "murky pond"! ;)

Ok Levina, I give up! It looks like some rockers posed as Mt Rushmore! Love the refraction/reflected colors though. Great experiment!

R.. Dogs do love their water.. lol

Kelly.. That is stunning! Welcome to WWPW.

I used the cover of the "Deep Purple in Rock" album (good guess, Joayne!), put a large, round, glass bowl on it, filled to the brim with water and then stirred the water and took photographs. I had it on the ground and I was shooting straight down. Here's a link to what the album looks like: http://upload.wikimedia.org …4/Deep_Purple_in_Rock.jpg (external link)

I wanted something with a bit of colour and something that was interesting. I tried a few things and liked this one best.

But I started wanting to do just water droplets and then thought they were boring, so I then tried several other things and ended up with this.

Deep Purple was a good choice ;)

Nice work Levina!

Anyone got a suggestion for the coming week?

... And on that note..
I'll be going on vacation/holiday starting the beginning of August and won't return until the 25th.
I can set up the week beginning 8/4 and the week of 8/25 on the 26th, a day late. That does leave 2 weeks
I won't be able to set up a new thread. I don't travel with a laptop. Ideas or suggestions or volunteers?
