Per EXIF: ISO 12800 on that last one and look how clean it is. Fantastic! :)

I would love to have an a7S to pair with the a7R. Can't have it all I guess. Bummer.

Thanks David. The high ISO capabilities of this camera are just stunning.

Which one would you advice for stills, between A7 and A7S?

Great shots OP.

Caspase,IMO the A7r would be great to own because of the 36.4 mp and that's the only reason.
The A7 IMO is exactly the same. Buddy of mine and I shot together last week, he shot with his A7r and I used my A7. Can tell the images apart on the computer screen, same exact thing until you decide to blow it up and inspect everything or doing some print.

Personally I wouldn't even bother with A7s if I was to be upgrading the A7. Less MP and really geared more towards the Videographer.

Get out and shoot

I would get the a7 unless you want to shoot video OR low-light stills. The a7 is a wonderful wonderful a7. I "upgraded" to an a7R, but there's hardly a difference. a7S is magic for low-light work.

how about getting all 3 versions. I saw the other guy on FM that have all 3. :)

Using A7 for every day shot. Using A7r for landscape. Using A7s to low light and video.

Got out to take some tonight. In the spirit of high iso shots here you go:

All with A7s 55 F/1.8 wide open. No processing (other than what flickr does to them). Straight ARW to JPEG.

ISO 12800
