Hi all,

I'm starting to use LR as my adjustments tool (used to be a DPPuser) and I want to know if there is any 3rd party image viewer software capable of reading the sidecar files in order to show the image with the adjustments made in lightroom.

When I used DPP i was unable to see my adjustments outside dpp itself which is a little disapointing because i need a fast and easy image viewer for my cr2 photo collection.

Thank you in advance

Short answer : No.

You'll have to export to jpg /tiff etc.

As far as I know the only Raw viewing/processing software that can "read" the Lightroom processes via the xmp file is a compatible version of Adobe Camera Raw, found in Photoshop. I've seen some reports that the "stripped down" version of Camera Raw in Photoshop Elements can "see" Lightroom edits but I don't have Elements installed to check that out.

But in general, if you want a "viewer", just use Lightroom!
