Question about the Godox Witstro AD360

Hey, I was wondering if anyone had tried using the Godox Witstro AD360 trigger on a Sony A7 series camera (A7, A7R, A7S) or indeed any camera with their new multi interface hot shoe?

I'm thinking about buying one but will be using one of these Sony's.

I believe (?) Pocket Wizard's work on the Sony's but not sure about these guys, wondering if anyone knew?

If the Sony has the center x-sync fire pin with grounding via the hot shoe rails then the standard trigger should work.

A friend just ordered an A7r, if he has it when we have coffee on Sunday we can give it a try.

I do. I use Pixel King trigger for Sony. You need a hotshoe adapter though.

For HSS mode, it works OK, but you have to turn off the "e First Curtain shutter" option to avoid zebra banding.

I hope Pixel and other trigger brand make the dedicated trigger for the A7/A7r hotshoe mount (Sony multi-interface-type hot shoe) so that we dont have to buy the Sony ADPMAA adapter.

Re: adapters etc - what I'm curious about is if it works on the new Sony multi interface shoe - aka the one that's been around for the past two/three years or so and is present on their new A7x line.

I know that it won't work on the old Minolta type hot shoes but I'm curious about the new MI shoe.

I am using CheetahLight triggers with my A7R just fine.

I think you mean H mode.
Remember, H mode is a setting on the AD-XX light that causes it to output light via the high speed strobing to create a longer flat light output.

It requires something mounted in the camera hotshoe that makes the camera think that it should use FP sync rather than x sync. I expect that that will require a Sony ETTL capable speedlite in the camera hotshoe along with a connection to fire the AD-XX.

Yes I know the rapid pulse setting is set in the Godox flash, but the Pixel King function is to send pre shutter signal so that the flash already starts firing when the shutter open.

does the Pixel King work with A7r to deliver FP-Sync? If it does you're good.

I can not confirm on A7r but it works on my A7.
I have tested it using my Sony HVL F43M flash.
