I'm looking to buy a tripod and i've sort of narrowed it down to either the
Benro Travel Angel II C1692B0 or
Sirui T-2205X + either G-20X or K-20X (Sirui ballheads).

Anyone has experience of either of these tripods/ballheads?
Which would you recommend?

From the 2 of them I would choose the Benro. (After some reading).

I btw. just purchased a tripod myself from 3Legged Thing, maybe take a look also at their tripods:

I personally purchased DAVE with the included Ballhead.

I have tripods from both brands. My Benro is a c2680t and the Sirui is a 1205x. Both are nice. I use the Sirui for hiking/travel and the Benro usually stays in the car.

I have a Sirui T2204X (the 4 leg section version) with K20X ballhead. Both are well made and sturdy. The combo is stable under my heaviest load (6D plus 70-200 IS II). The K20X ballhead is smooth and stable - better quality than I expected for the price (not far short of my Markins Q10).

I have no experience with Benro tripods, so can't compare.

Cheers, Damien

what camera and lens will you be using?

my vote goes to sirui, been impressed by their tripods and ballheads and I'm looking to buy a Sirui T-025x next as travel/hike tripod.

i have a mefoto globetrotter which overall im happy with but if i would have discovered sirui first, i would have gone with them instead.

I have more or less decided on the Sirui.
Now trying to decide on which ballhead.
I can get good price on the tripod and either Sirui ballhead.
I like the K series more than G so I'm looking at K-10X or K-20X. I like the K-10X due to smaller size and more lightweight, I am a bit worried that the k20 will be too big to properly fold the legs 180 around it.

My gear is pretty lightweight,
Won't be heavier than something like 70D + 17-50/2.8

Anyone with experience of k10x or k20x that would like to share their experience? Preferably together with the 2205X or similar.

well the k20x fits just fine with the legs folded on my benro c1681 (which is even smaller than the sirui), there are some pictures of it folded and unfolded in this thread.

So I am a doofus and didn't even notice that the thread i linked you is your own thread.

Even though the poll result lean towards benro I went ahead and ordered Sirui T-2205X + K20
