I got a welding glass a while ago, but I haven't had a chance to try it out until now. 9,000 times more shutter time!

So you basically got a really really really real really dark ND filter? ;)

Yes and yes!

The welding glass isn't really a neutral filter because it leaves a hella green cast that you've got to deal with in post, but yeah, as close as I can figure, it is between a 10 and 11 stop difference in light... Which is a lot!

This was a 150second exposure if I remember correctly. I sat in the chair for 90 of those seconds.

That's awesome! Sort of seems like the photos where someone has a flash back and memories of a deceased loved one.
