I know I ask for a lot of ID's but I never payed birds the least bit of attention until I bought my 40D.

Thanks to both of you. These little guys were guarding the entire roof of a local restaurant. Boldly yelling at all the customers who walked through the doors.

They are extremely agressive. They will clear out the nest of native birds and take them over. They have reduced the numbers of our natives and have become one of the most populous birds along with the European Starling, another import that has done the same take over, and the Rock Pigeon a domesticated bird gone feral.

Nice image, WhidbeyHiker. I have firsthand knowledge of how hard it is to ID birds. Do you know about the website Birdsnap.com? It lets you upload a photo of a bird and it will analyze the image and ID the bird. I've used it a few times and found it helpful.
