I am looking to get myself a collapsible background as I have some sessions coming up where I will have to use background on the locations (portrait).
I have 2 questions where I need the help from you.

1. Is it worth spending almost a double for Lastolite collapsible backgrounds? I have found on Amazon the other makes (PixaPro, PhotoSEL and Dynasun) which are around 50-60% cheaper. Do you have any experience with those? The main concern for me is creasing of the fabric. Probably the cheaper ones will be more prone to that.

2. I was originally looking to get White and Black combined background, but would you recommend getting grey one? Would that be a better option, as I can get some coloured gels in case I would like to change the colour of the background (including using flash to get white or black)?

I've got 2 flashes with wireless triggers if that info helps?

Personally, I own a white and a grey. I love my grey because with enough light it can look white and with very little light, it can appear black.

I'm thinking of buying a white one because with my 2 speedlites,

I'm not sure I have the gear to light a headshot AND whiten the background.

Dan, I am planning to work with 2 flashes. One for the background and the other to be my key light. Probably will use a small reflector as well.

Photo's guy, Zach has some serious issues going on with his site, images not showing up, pages not linked right, domain issues etc. This should get you what you were trying to post.

edit: i promise photosguy posted in here. lol

you can load the images manually in another tab by using this format, and adding the image file name listed in the article and changing the month "04" for whatever month the article was written.
