first time i have seen this

I am not so sure what species of heron is this, but first time i have ever seen a heron's nest, and was very excited!

are they the same? the individual was standing less than 30 metres from the nest.

Great shots. They look at a glance the same as the UK Grey heron (Ardea cinerea) (external link)

Was a bit confused as the individual looks like it has different colors from those in the nest.

The nest sure was the biggest I have ever seen lol
