Almost embarrassed to say this, but this is my first engagement shoot. Would love some feedback.

Good lighting and focus, color balance, etc. Here are a couple of opinions for feedback. Photo #1 doesn't do it for me for some reason. I don't know if it's the hedge coming in and out of frame or the stairs, but it doesn't make me feel "engagement." #2 is nice. I would like to see a slight vignette on that, but that is just personal preference. Also, I think the overall capture would have been nice to have included the arch over them in the crop. I think it's the same path as in #3. I like #3. #4 is cute, too, but the fact that they are leaning away from each other makes me feel they are separated. I wonder if they could have been leaning towards each other or even bending around the pillars looking at each other. Nice photo, though. 5 and 6 good, too! Only thing with #6 would be to have corrected some of the blown out sky in upper right. It's too blown out. All are better than I would have done with my first engagement, for sure!

OhLook insufferably pedantic. I can live with that. 24,824 posts Gallery: 105 photos Best ofs: 2 Likes: 16162 Joined Dec 2012 Location: California: SF Bay Area More info | Jul 13, 2014 01:10 | #4 They're all attractive shots, but the architectural backgrounds compete for attention with the engaged couple, as if you were more interested in the buildings than in the people. PRONOUN ADVISORY: OhLook is a she. | A FEW CORRECT SPELLINGS: lens, aperture, amateur, hobbyist, per se, raccoon, whoa | Comments welcome
