would you give up your 135L for the Oly 75/1.8?

this is a question probably more relevant for photographers maintaining 2 systems at the same time.

I have my 6D and a variety of L lenses for proper work, and the Olympus E-PL5 with 12-35mm f2.8 (24-70 equivalent) for my family's use.

As I often find myself switching between short and long FLs, I was wondering whether I should trade my 135L for the 75mm f1.8 (equiv. 150mm/f3.6) to save the trouble.

as with many other users, the 135L's quality is astounding, yet rarely used due to its FL. i was wondering whether by switching to a smaller system, i could get more use by putting it side by side with my 24-70ii (together with the 75/1.8).

comments?

Why will a 150mm be "used" anymore compared to your 135L??

I think a Zuiko 45mm f/1.8 would give you a nice workable distance in shooting family stuff.

As far as shooting with a more accurate system I'd take phase detection any day to land the shot vs the m43 contrast AF system.

I'm not disrespecting m43. I own an OMD em5 and GH3. Even for casual fun event documentation I'm careful in shooting with my M43 system. Dslr bodies I never worry about severe AF issues.

zuiko 75mm f/1.8 is an incredible lens but thats a niche lens

Why don't you just use the 6D?
I don1t get is, but as the 135 f/2 being such a great lens, I would NOT trade it.

I would not because I only have canon-mount gear so a Oly would be useless.

I vote to keep my 135L...because I've never even heard of an Oly 75 1.8

That oly 75mm is for a micro 4/3 camera. It may rival the 135L on some canon dslr bodies.
