I decided to push my MPE 65 by adding a full set of extension tubes.
Both images involved using my iPad as a background light and then using a polarising filter to black out the background, but not the light passing through the crystals.

Excellent work, I believe that polarised light method is a microscopy one, if has proper name that I can't remember.
