Noticed one on eBay. Has anyone ever had light find way into your lens when taking pictures?

And if so, does your lens cap snap on over it or do you have to remove the hood every time?

Cheers,

I've honestly not known many to use the hood for the MPE - partly though as Canon charge quite a large sum for what is basically a very tiny hood. I'll be interested to hear if any others have any feelings on the matter, but far as I know most don't use it at all.

Tools of the trade: Canon 400D, Canon 7D, Canon 70-200mm f2.8 IS L M2, Sigma 120-300mm f2.8 OS, Canon MPE 65mm f2.8 macro, Sigma 150mm f2.8 macro, Tamron 24-70mm f2.4, Sigma 70mm f2.8 macro, Sigma 8-16mm f4.5-5.6, Raynox DCR 250, loads of teleconverters and a flashy thingy too

I have it and use it.

I did a load of tests and did not detect any difference see http://www.zen20934.zen.co.uk …0with%20the%20MP-E%2065mm (external link).

I guess if you get a load of dust or pollen on the front ellement it might help, this happens sometimes in a shoot.

I noticed a difference (kept light from getting into the lens if you're using a diffuser bigger than a Sto-Fen.). There is no lens cap over the hood.
