I heard a rumor that some rumor posters don't get the rumor from outside their head... they just invent something then start spreading the rumor.

A good way to find out would be if every rumor thread starter would include some sources where they got it from... If none, it's not a rumor but fantasy. Sure it can *become* a rumor... that's how most of them start, I guess.

So with your next rumor post: also post your source(s).

I must say...only to prove what a loser I am....I love reading rumors, fake or not. I get so excited this time of year and have spent at least an hour a day looking for new rumors so that I can speculate and wonder and drive myself mad.

So, keep 'em coming, especially the "I have a friend" ones. Those get me really pumped.

I really do have a freind in canon R+D, but if i post his name he'll get canned.... they're not supposed to tak to us mere mortals.

BTW he says they are looking at developing a lens to compete with the sigmonster, EF 300-800 IS now that would be soooo coooool
