What I wonder?

Lovely and funny captured moment.

I doubt it would make it any better but have you tried a cropped version ?

The passer-by probably said: "If you'd have half a clue on how to dress you could pass for a couple of nice girls"

Great capture. I admire you for having to guts to take these kinds of shots. I've never tried, but I plan to this year as the weather improves.

Great capture chrnat, i love a candid with a lot of emotion :)

[EDIT]: Since we are in the critique section i will suggest a 1.5 degree clockwise rotation.

I like this photo. It sure does make you want to listen in to their coversation. I have two questions though: I guess your using a long lens. Could you tell us what it is? Did you tell them you took their picture? Do you have to? (Haha..that's three questions:-) )

The lens is a 70 - 200 f2.8 USM
No I didnt tell them they hasd walked past and turned round surprised by another passer by's comment
As far as I know you do not have to tell or have permission to take a photograph - think of the press. Also people do not own copyright to their form Except for military establisments etc

Happy to stand corrected

No challenge or negativity intended. Simply wondering for when I get my longish lens" (also a 70-200). Should be soon I hope:D I'm happy to know they're "long enough" to catch the subjects with a natural pose before they know they're being photographed. Sadly we have privacy laws in Queensland which prevent you from taking peoples pictures in certain areas. I suspect the areas will be increased soon.

LOL .. I should have seen that one coming. ... Depends on what you define as 'a bit older' ;)
I'm turning 31 in under a month so I guess the answer is yes.
