Here a new pic from the shooting with linda where I tested a "new" method of frequency separation.
Hope you like it.

the skin processing looks ok but you need to light subject better.

the eye tends to go to the brightest area of the image, which is not the face.

they eyes are way to dark as well..

IMO before you start trying out new techniques for skin, you may which to improve in lighting and then learn how to effective dodge and burn to draw the eye where you want it to go.

Thanks for your feedback....and yes you are right, lightning is not that good.
This was my first shooting where I wanted to test with a flash outdoor....but the problem was, that the flash didn't work.
But of course I also have to improve myself in shooting with AL.

you dont need a flash, a reflector would have worked just fine. fill flash is tough outdoors in sun because of the max shutter speeds.

Ok, yes...a reflector will also be an investation soon.
But here is the problem that you need an assistant, what I actually don't have :-P

Decent enough image, but the lighting is very flat and I feel like it's cropped a little tight. With regards to a reflector, like mike_311 said you only need an inexpensive stand and refelctor holder like this one HERE (external link). Work on your lighting before trying new processing techniques. You really need to get more light into her eyes to create a catchlight to give them some "life". Right now they're black dots on her face.

The entire image appears OOF to me as well. Maybe it's compression, but it doesn't look clean. What lens did you use for this? What were your settings?

Eye sockets are a little dark. Good bokeh, though
