Sigma USB Dock - Troubleshooting

Hello all,

I searched and didn't see any posts regarding this specific problem with the usb dock, so I figured I'd ask before contacting Sigma directly. After installing the Sigma software I get to the screen where it says to: 1) connect dock to lens 2) cord to dock and 3) usb to computer.

The program then recognizes the dock, but won't recognize the Sigma 35mm Art lens attached. The dock is firmly attached to the lens and I tried uninstalling/reinstall​ing the software with no luck. I do have a logitech mouse/keyboard that uses a wirelesss usb dongle and I have read that may cause some issues.

I'm going to borrow my neighbors laptop tonight to see if the problems are just software based on my desktop. But any help would be greatly appreciated as I would love to fine tune this lens.

It appears my issue is with the dock not mounting fully to the lens. The pin is about 1/3 of an inch away, thus the lens release on the dock doesn't have to be used to unmount the lens. Same results when trying the Canon 40mm pancake lens. It appears to be a hardware (defective unit) vs. software. I will exchange for another.
