Although I thought of WB as a possible explanation Rog, there are a lot of different colors of Salvias. Now I'm curious how you explain your 4th image that has pretty blue in the foreground and lavender in the background? Differential lighting can do this sometimes, but you're the authority here. Mainly just curious....

:o:o:o OK, now I'm totally embarrassed! Your reply here jogged my lousy memory-when at the nursery picking out the Black & Blue, my friend there pointed out a new lavender(think he called it purple) variety of salvia, so I picked up 1 of those, too and planted in the same pot. Your color eye is dead on, my friend! I see the difference when it's pointed out, but otherwise, I'm kinda hit and miss.
