via the camera USB or via the memory card reader (taking memory card out and into the reader)?

Reader. They are not expensive, work well and you can get a USB3 compatible one.

I transfer mine from my reader to my external hard drive.

PC has a built in reader. When I travel I have a small USB reader.


Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

wow no one so far uses the USB connected to the camera... (well i do but have a reader now). was just curious how many people do this....

I used to exlucsively go from the camera until I got a memory card reader. Now I just use that.

since my CF reader failed I've been using the USB cable.
I looked into getting a USB expansion kit ( http://www.vantecusa.c​om/en/product/view_det​ail/486 (external link) ) but these haven't been in stock locally so haven't looked at it for awhile.


some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", 1D MK II converted for IR, and now an M5
