I believe this is a Lockheed Electra 12A at the local airport.

These were all taken with my Sony a7r + FE 35mm F2.8 ZA. I liked the textures and reflections of the aluminum skin and the details of the rivets.

Good shots. One of the whole thing would have been nice, too?

Thanks. I'd already taken a full plane shot a few months ago. This time I wanted to get a few close ups to show more details.

All good, but first one is my favourite. Has a '40's/'50's feel to it.

The Captain and crew finally got their stuff together, now if we can only remember where we left it.

Thanks everyone. Metal objects always look good in black and white too. :D As you can tell, there was a lot of high, thin clouds so the lighting was pretty flat. With black and white, I was able to give the images a bit more "pop".

Here's an F-5 too from Fighter Squadron Composite (VFC-13) Saints, a US Navy fighter squadron that provides adversary training for U.S. Navy air wings at NAS Fallon, Nevada.

Thanks, Gene! Maybe you could have included a link to the other set in the original post?
