Another great set, Ian; you sure nailed the focus on that first one.
Al
Thanks Al. That was tough too as he was quite close when he appeared around a tree.

Amazing set as always. You are so lucky to have so many opportunities to shoot these beautiful birds!
Thanks Carol....there seem to be more than normal this year.

Some great new shots in this series. Love the first one!
If they were around here I'd be shooting them all day. Hey, when the bird in flight is as big as a German shepherd, it's easier to track them!

Thanks Jake. Yeah, they are slower than a Kingfisher, but there were a lot of times where they would suddenly appear around a tree almost right in front of me, flying along the river...made it challenging when they were so close.

I don't have them in my backyard, so I'm so happy that you do, and that you share them with us. Keep shooting and sharing Ian, they are beautiful!
Much appreciated Sandy.

I would like to express my gratitude for your lack of control Ian.

Great shots.
Ha, thanks John.

I don't blame you Ian, I'd do the same

#6 is the pick of the bunch for me, lovely flight shot.
Thanks Mark. There were only a few flight shots where I could fit the whole bird in the frame, that's one of them.
