The 3 hummers in my yard kept on coming, rain or not. One of the females had claimed the territory a couple days ago, but the male seemed to challenge that claim today. There were a lot of chasing, body-slamming throughout the day. Sometimes all 3 of them got all tangled up and I could not tell who was who. But there were also peaceful moments where they just came and went and enjoyed themselves. Here are some pictures:

There will be days when you get the shot(s) you missed days, months or years before.

Thank you, everyone, for your kind words. Capturing hummingbird pictures is really addictive. There is always something less than perfect that makes you want to try it again.

What a great set of shots. The season for hummers seems to have really slowed down here in So Cal.

Pretty bird(s) and even prettier captures Linh!
I love the images of in-flight maneuvering, but they're all very well executed. Looks like your reflexes and autofocus are both working very nicely :)
