A couple more of my resident Western Kingbird. Just a little prior to this, I was walking across the yard, near "her tree", and she dive-bombed me. I've read where they're very protective of their territory, and I believe it.

This next one is basically SOOC, just a little cropping.

Very nice shots. They can be quite difficult to get close to except when bombing you.

Thanks John.

I've taken a lot of shots of her. She doesn't venture far from that side of the tree, and that powerline. When she dive-bombed me, I had a macro lens on, and was not even thinking about her, caught me totally off guard. So I went back into the house and changed lenses to try an get a shot of her attacking. However she would just flutter a little on the poweline, and then just the short hop back and forth to the tree. IDK, maybe she seen I was not going to photograph her, and wanted the attention when she dive-bombed..
