HDR brush???

hi all,is there a HDR brush for light room or ps,i mostly use aperture and HDR fx pro on my mac air and I'm looking for a way to brush in the HDR effect,in some photos i would like to add the effect to only the sky not the foreground,or vice versa,i haven't been able to find anything like this online when i googled,maybe it doesn't excist yet,any info or tips would be great

Using layers and some layer masks sounds like it would work for what you want...

Well, I'm assuming you're working with a single image? With single image tonemapping all you're doing is having the software adjust the hightlights/shadows for you. In Lr you can make an adjustment brush for the sky, then tweak highlights, shadows, contrast, saturation, clarity, etc to taste. Not really that hard. In Ps you can duplicate the layer and go into the Image menu, Adjustments, Hightlight/Shadows. Play around with the tonal width, radius and amount, as well as color correction. You'll be pretty surprised at where that can get you. Then you can use a high pass filter (on another duplicate layer) with a very large radius set to overlay or softlight to bring detail and texture out of the clouds.

thanx for the tips,never tried masks before,ill give it a go in lightroom,yes mostly single images I'm working with,i like the HDR look in the skies to add some drama
