Last weekend I took my favorite lens out only to note an oily like stain on the back. I take a lens cloth to wipe it off, only to find out it is inside the lens. After some research online I found out this seems to be lens separation. I got in contact with my insurance agent who says I need to have an estimation of the costs for repair before they can take action. But since canon isn't servicing these lenses anymore I have to find a different solution. Can any recommend a repair shop, ideally in North California? If no shops here I'm willing to ship outside of California.
