CHP Memorial

Monday I attended a memorial service for a local CHP motor sergeant, Kevin Enox. Sgt. Enox was not killed in the line of duty, but he was a well loved and respected man, and had a great turn out and fitting memorial service.

I figured I'd add a thread for the CHP memorial service as well. Of course I don't take photos professionally, it's simply a hobby. Any tips/ constructive criticism are very welcome, I'd like to improve. I have thick skin.

Get a group of cops together, even for a funeral, and someone is going to lighten the mood. It goes with the territory. When you deal with as much crud on a daily basis as a cop does, you have to keep positive or it'll weigh you down.

As an active duty LEO - nice shots. The one of the CHP officer inside at the memorial represented a lot of emotion to me.

Great shots. Love the candids. Love the shot of the officer on take with the empty bike, boots and helmet. That shot alone says/shows so much. Was this held yesterday (Wednesday?) there were far too many motorcycle CHP on the 405 this morning.

Ejicon, the memorial was held on Monday, in Central CA, but if the motors you saw were mostly headed southbound it is entirely possible they were getting back to LA yesterday from a long weekend. Otherwise it could have just been a routine enforcement project day.
