I got a good shot out of it though! After this I put the camera back on silent mode, which is okay to use sometimes.

Male Downy Woodpecker.

And one of a female Downy Woodpecker with my non-threatening adopted Persian Cat in the background. She thinks she's a hunter, but she is totally incapable of hurting anything!

The cat is not a threat because she was a rescue that I adopted years ago...she was found malnourished, so she lost many of her teeth, plus she was declawed before I got her...No teeth, no claws...no danger to the birds!

Beautiful shot Sandy! The birds here don't seem to mind the sound of the shutter. They pretty much ignore it.

Thanks Ted. Most of the birds ignore her...never thought about the fact it could be her color! I try to keep the "Mighty Hunters" inside the house! Actually I keep this one inside too, other people let her out!

Thanks Carol. Many of the birds don't pay any attention, but once in a while this happens!

Wonderful shots Sandy. You did well to hold the eye detail on that first shot.
