Just starting out in DSLR photography so have a lot to learn. Really happy with this shot of my 4 year old though:

Overall it's an ok picture, I'm not a fan of the composition. I do love how you made sure that you can see the spark in her eyes, very important!

Here's some advice:

- Make sure her expression is more relaxed.
- Capture emotions!
- Make sure that a part of her chin is not hidden by the dress.
- The background is disturbing to me.

Welcome to the amazing world of photography, have fun exploring it, learning and creating beautiful images!

Thank you so much for your feedback, I really appreciate it. I didn't even realise that her chin was hidden until you said! I will take your advice and keep it in mind for future shots - I am certain they will help me become better as I go on!

I have taken a few more pics. Learning all the time and still have a LOT of work to be better at composition, but I will share these here anyway. Again, any constructive critisicm is welcomed.

The second batch is a nice improvement! You did a good job of blurring the backgrounds and the exposures look better as well. Keep on practicing and you will keep on getting better!

I love this last picture. It looks like the sun was behind her and you used an off camera flash that was too her left. It looks like the flash was placed a little low looking at the shadow it cast...Try a little higher and maybe a little less flash so you get fill light but soften the shadow some!?!

Nice job though!
