Had some tough mid-day lighting, but I found a greenie that was very cooperative. Taken last week at Poverty Point Reservoir in Delhi, LA.

Very nice photos but I would like to see them captured from a little bit lower perspective...

I agree completely. The problem with this particular setting is that the bank of the lake quickly rises about 5 feet above the water with rocks (rip rap?) on the shore. As the heron walked the shoreline, I tried to anticipate his movement and get low to the water, but he wasn't very happy about that (flew away and came back later). I believe I took the last shot laying as low as I could get, yet was still above him.

He did, however, allow me to follow behind him at a really close distance without getting annoyed.

I really appreciate the comment, and as I said, totally agree.
