I went out and shot some of my friends at the most recent autocross event in St. Louis and decided to just photograph everyone out there for practice:

Your panning skills are good! I would try to mix it up a bit more to get some more variety in your shots. Looks like most or all of these were taken from the same spot with a similar focal length. Try shooting a few wide angle, a few really zoomed in, a few higher or lower, maybe some shots of drivers or pit area, etc. Autocross can be tough to shoot b/c backgrounds are usually busy and unattractive, but you did well here.

Thank you. I pretty much just went to practice my panning since this is just my second time really trying it. you're correct that they were all taken from the same spot. If I were to go anywhere else near the track, I would have to have a spotter for safety. the only people I had with me were driving/working.

Understandable for sure. I have photographed at several rallycross, drift, autocross events and most require a spotter. You don't neccessarily need to get any closer, but if you move around next time, I bet your set will pop more :). Keep at it, you have some great shots here! Like the Evo tripodding it
