I really like these! The processing on the second one makes it look like a painting.

Thanks. I thought it looked like a pinting too after I saw it on this web page. That wasn't done intentially. It may be a result of heavily cropping on an image that was taken from a great distance.

Looks like NR at work. Beautiful photo.

I still remember the very first time I rode a horse when I was a kid, only had pony (mule really) rides before that, and I was absolutely amazed just how warm and silky the horse's neck felt. Wonderful creatures.
