Wonderful work. A couple of them look like there was some fill flash. Was there any?

(Linh, bad move!)

Bret, I love that 300mm f/2.8. However, it is too short for eagles, ospreys, hawks, etc ... in flight (even with the 1.4x. I did not have satisfactory results with the 2x for BIF). So I sold it to fund the Tamron 150-600mm. Some day that lens will arrive.

Ian, sorry for the distraction. Now back to the main program.

Gorgeous, Ian. OK, she's the gardener and you're the photographer. Sounds like a great arrangement!

It works well, Rog. When she looks out and sees me sitting there in my truck, she knows what's going on. Thanks very much.

Thanks much. No, no fill flash. It was morning sunlight though, behind me, about 9 am.

No problems!

Certainly lots to like about these Ian!
I especially like #'s 2,3, & 6 as they probably represent some of the angles/postures I've been striving for. I'm especially enamored with #3 and the unique body posture they get when they back out of a bloom; and I'd agree with Peter that a bottle of wine might be in order :)

Your lucky to be able to use your truck as a blind. I use a portable blind. So far my husband hasn't said a word about it setting on the lawn all summer!

Thanks Sandy. My truck is the blind I use the most. I do have a portable one set up down by the river but I find it restricts my line of sight a lot.
